We started Crunch CT with a simple mission: to introduce the people of Connecticut to Boreks, a Mediterranean flakey dough that is rolled paper thin and filled with either a savory or sweet filling and baked until crispy perfection. the owner, chef Liam, grew up eating this delightful pastry made by his grandmother and has longed for it since. originally starting in San Francisco, California, we decided to try and sell it on a specialized home baker platform, and to much success its popularity skyrocketed, and we were urged by our customers to open a commercial front. from there, we started selling at farmers markets in the city for a year, and finally relocated to New Haven, CT in search of a permanent location to start our bakery with a sit-down area. at only 21 years of age, our chef has committed to provide the new England area with artisan boreks
